THE SHARD

The Shard is an interactive installation using Arduino, this installation contains 6 laser transmitters, 6 mirror shards connected to the steering gear, and an IR sensor that senses the human body. The installation is inspired by the Segal’s Law, which suggests that the more data you obtain, the greater the likelihood that it will conflict with what you already know, thus complicating the process. This project aims to use a more vivid visual way to show the changes in the transmission of information due to external influences, the truth may be distorted, misinterpreted or even completely changed by the shard.
